The co-hosts of “The Five” refuted White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s claim on Wednesday that President Biden’s administration “saved Christmas.”
“[I]It’s always interesting when politicians want credit for doing their job, “co-host Katie Pavlich said on Thursday of the crisis. And OK, sure, stores maybe are more stocked than there is. months, but families can’t afford it. Their natural gas bills have gone up 40% thanks to this administration. Their gas they fill up their cars [with] shopping for Christmas is twice as expensive as it was a year ago. All their savings are wiped out by inflation.“

“There are no specific policies that the administration has implemented [to alleviate the supply chain crisis]”, added co-host Sean Duffy.
The White House is trying to distract Americans from the “testing crisis” and its economic approval rating, which is the worst since that of former President Jimmy Carter, co-host Kayleigh McEnany said.
Biden’s average economic approval rating in the December polls is -13 points, she added.
Those ratings average for presidents over the past 44 years has been +5 points, she noted.
“So go ahead, say you saved Christmas,” McEnany said. “It’s not going to help you save House halfway through.”
