Paris Hilton slams pop star Pink for mocking her leaked sex tape without consent
Paris Hilton has slammed pop star Pink for mocking her 2004 sex tape – which Hilton says was leaked without her consent – in her 2006 song “Stupid Girls”.
“Pink sang about ‘outcasts and girls with ambition’. That’s what I want to see. But she chose not to see it in me,” Hilton reportedly wrote in her recently released book, titled , Paris: The Memoir.
“The world sees me as a sex symbol, and I’m here for that, because ‘symbol’ literally means ‘icon’,” she continued. “But when people saw this sex tape, they didn’t say ‘icon’, they said ‘bitch’. They said ‘damn’. And they didn’t hesitate to do it.”
“The whole video is a not-at-all-subtle send-off of ‘porn paparazzi girls’ in general and, in particular, of me in a parody of my infamous sex tape,” Hilton added.
In the song “Stupid Girls”, Pink sings, “Maybe if I act like this this guy will remind me, porn paparazzi girls, I don’t want to be a stupid girl. Baby, if I act like that, flip my blonde hair back, pull up my bra like that. I don’t want to be a stupid girl.
The lyrics go on to say, “They travel in packs of twos and threes, with their tiny doggies and tiny t-shirts – I’m so glad I’ll never fit in, it’ll never be me, outcasts and girls with ambition is what I want to see.
Additionally, Pink parodies Hilton’s sex tape in the music video, which also includes the singer putting down other women, as well as a scene featuring apparent bulimia.
In her memoir, Hilton reportedly said that after watching Pink’s music video for “Stupid Girls,” she felt “shame” over the leaked sex tape with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon at the time. who she had promised “no one would ever see”. ”
Hilton also questioned why Pink was so critical of her, when she repeatedly suggested the sex tape was leaked without her consent.
“When everyone was talking about a sex tape of a certain teenage girl from a hit TV show – a girl who was insistently saying she didn’t want the tape aired – the takeaway was ‘Stupid Girl “,” Hilton wrote.
Additionally, Pink has recently been called out on social media for building her career and making a name for herself attacking other women, not just Hilton.
When opening her 2001 AMA performance of her song “Most Girls,” Pink poked fun at pop stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson.
The singer also brought an inflatable Aguilera sex doll on stage with each night of her “Try This” tour in 2004 and simulated sex on it.
