New York City police officers arrested a man who allegedly “wielded an axe” while on the A train.

According to a New York City Police Department spokesperson.

Lashley was arrested by officers after seeing him with the pickaxe, according to the spokesperson. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

“It must have been a heartbreaking call for our 911 operator to hear and pass on – a report of a man swinging an ax at an A-train. Fortunately, with our enhanced deployment, District 23 officers were ready, intercepting the moving train and the taking into custody of the man,” reads a tweet from the New York Police Department’s Transit Office.
