Nottingham Forest condemns ‘concern chants’ aimed at Chelsea fans and promises ‘inquiry’ after Premier League draw
Nottingham Forest have condemned the “disturbing chants” aimed at Chelsea supporters during the 1-1 Premier League draw.
It is alleged that the chants were homophobic in nature by journalists present at the game.

A statement from Forest shortly after being full-time at the City Ground expressed concern and said an investigation would take place.
The statement read: “The Club is aware of the reports regarding chants for Chelsea supporters from a minority of fans tonight and does not tolerate any type of discriminatory or offensive behaviour.
“The matter will be fully investigated.”
Simon Johnson of The Athletic was present at the game and tweeted: “Homophobic song by Forest fans.”
A seemingly similar incident happened earlier in the season in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Manchester United.
Blues boss Graham Potter was forced to comment and said: “Clearly we still have a lot of work to do”, while United boss Erik ten Hag also condemned the chants.

Forest will investigate the chants
Following the draw against Forest, Chelsea Pride also released a statement saying “it’s time to call it that”.
“We totally condemn the Chelsea Rent Boy chant which can be heard at the City Ground,” they wrote to their 14,000 followers.
“Time to talk about it, the game is live on @SkySportsPL. This is now classified as a hate crime.
“#NoToHate #RetireTheChant”
Forest took a point from the league clash with a Serge Aurier strike after Raheem Sterling put the visiting Blues ahead.
