November livestream promises Nintendo Switch gaming news
Nintendo Switch owners will get a new batch of game announcements from indie game developers on November 14, thanks to a new Indie World showcase.
November’s Indie World – the indie equivalent of a Nintendo Direct – will stream on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels, starting at 9 a.m. PDT/12 p.m. EDT on Tuesday. You can watch Nintendo’s new indie showcase in the video embedded above.
Nintendo says viewers can expect “around 20 minutes of new announcements and updates about upcoming indie games on Nintendo Switch.” As usual, Nintendo has not announced which games or developers will be featured in November’s Indie World. But fans can probably count on a handful of surprise game releases and demos after the Indie World event ends.
One thing fans shouldn’t count on? News about Hollow Knight: Song of Silk. This game still doesn’t have a release date, and it seems increasingly unlikely that developer Team Cherry will deliver the long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight in one of Nintendo’s smaller storefronts. But viewers can expect games to round out the holiday season and the Switch’s 2024 release schedule.
It’s been almost seven months since Indie World’s last presentation. This is where Nintendo and indie game studios introduced Switch versions of games like Songs of Sennaar, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Mineko Night MarketAnd Little kitten, big city.
