Newlywed Song Joong-ki slams ‘baseless rumours’ about his wife

Song Joong-ki recently revealed that he felt “angry” and “frustrated” by the malicious rumors surrounding his new wife, Katy Louise Saunders.
Rumors, including claims of a child with a former partner, spread across the internet as Song’s marriage to Saunders attracted worldwide attention.
In an interview with QGthe 37-year-old South Korean actor admitted his first reaction to the rumors was indifference.
“At first, I didn’t pay attention to it,” Song explained. “It’s a normal thing for us, and just because people talk doesn’t mean our love is going to change.”

However, the ‘Vincenzo’ star was quickly overwhelmed by the negative press surrounding her relationship.
As more baseless rumors spread, I was honestly angry and frustrated. Except [Katy’s] university, nothing was true. As my anger grew to the point where I thought it was going to explode, Katy said to me, “You don’t need to get mad at these people. I can’t say much here, but that’s the kind of person she is. It leads me in a positive direction and balances me.
Song continued to praise his marry in the interview, revealing that the interview did not have enough time and space to detail Saunders’ good qualities. “He’s someone I trust,” he said.

With the confirmed news of couple’s first child Along the way, the actor also confessed his excitement about starting a family soon.
“One of my goals in life is to have a family and a child,” he shared. “So I’m filled with nervous and excited anticipation right now.”
Song revealed her relationship with Saunders in late January through an announcement on her official fan cafe. The couple, who have been dating for around a year, were confirmed to have married earlier this month.
