Les Daltons, this group which mixes rap, delinquency and wild rodeo has once again distinguished itself in Lyon, this time in a very busy district of the city center. One of the bikers was arrested and taken into custody.

The Lyon rap group named Les Daltons – in reference to the bandits in lucky Luke – stood out again on October 29 with a new wild rodeo. The scene took place in the center of Lyon, place Bellecour and rue Victor-Hugo, very popular places in the capital of the Gauls. According to Lyon Mag, the bikers have “sometimes brushed against children and insulted passers-by, while filming themselves live on Instagram”.

The prefecture of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region reacted on Twitter, judging this behavior as “irresponsible”. She also thanked the police “who stopped this rodeo and arrested one of the two pilots, who [a été] placed in police custody ”. “These individuals carry no message. They are delinquents. Those who promote it only encourage these behaviors, ”adds the prefecture.

Contacted by AFP, the prefecture specifies that the young man, who was alone on a motorcycle, was arrested, while the two other people riding a second motorcycle were on the run.

The ecological mayor (EELV) of the Rhône city, Grégory Doucet, “condemned” the rodeo. “It is intolerable that the population is exposed to such risks,” said the city councilor, explaining that “everything is being done to put an end to such acts”.

The prefecture had announced the day before the ban on “wild gatherings” of large cars and motorcycles in three towns in the Lyon suburbs, where precedents have gathered hundreds of people in recent weeks. On October 23, the police had already arrested, in Lyon, three members of these “Daltons”, who are to be tried on November 26.

On October 17, the group had also circulated at high speed and noise in the center of Lyon only a few days after the mayor Xavier Doucet had congratulated himself on having solved the problem of wild motorcycle rodeos.
