Navy plane crashes in Texas neighborhood after colliding with bird: video

Newly released video shows the moment a bird flew into a Navy jet plane conducting a training exercise before it crashed in a residential area in Texas, damaging at least one home.

The crash happened Sept. 19, 2021 when a U.S. Navy T-45C Goshawk jet trainer from Kingsville was about to land at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Fox Dallas reported.

Footage shows a bird flying in the jet as the plane descended. The pilot is heard saying that he has an emergency and that he would try to get to a runway.

During the incident, he says he won’t make it until he crashes in Lake Worth, a few miles from the reserve base.

The plane’s two pilots, a student and an instructor, ejected before the crash, the outlet reported. One had his parachute caught in power lines, while the other was found nearby.

No one was seriously injured.

The crash cleanup was completed a few weeks after the crash, but no one was seriously injured.
