Nathan Cleary leads the way as NSW returns to State of Origin series level with Queensland | State of origin

The 2022 State of Origin series will be decided by Game 3 in Brisbane after New South Wales returned to contention with a 44-12 demolition of Queensland in Game 2 in Perth.

Blues half-back Nathan Cleary was outstanding in the seven-to-two win at Optus Stadium, delivering two tries while scoring two of his own in three minutes in the second half after the game exploded midway through the first half time.

Cleary was also perfect with the boot, kicking eight out of eight to set up a decider at Suncorp Stadium next month.

Angus Fontaine’s full match report will follow.
