Monday Night Football DraftKings Picks: NFL DFS Line-Up Tips for the Week 16 Dolphins-Saints Showdown Tournaments
| Local News | Today Headlines
This season’s penultimate Monday Night Football pits two playoff prospects against each other. The Saints will host the Dolphins, as both Bubble teams will leave everything on the pitch to finish Week 16. DraftKings Sportsbook paints the picture of a low scoring affair, but we can still put together a viable DraftKings Showdown lineup. Miami is a favorite on the three-point road, so we’re leaning towards Dolphins players including the D / ST. Riding with a defensive unit is never a flashy DFS move, but it can pay off. Overall we have a unique roster that should have no problem scoring points.
Here are the main scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: PPR full point and there is Three-point bonus for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. Choosing the captain costs 1.5 times a player’s original price, but they also get their points total multiplied by 1.5.

DraftKings Showdown Pick: Dolphins vs. Saints
Budget of $ 50,000, need at least one player from each team.
Captain (1.5x points, 1.5x salary): Alvin Kamara, Saints ($ 18,300)
It’s easy to name Kamara the “Captain” based not only on his usage (33.6 percent of Saints hits) but also on his output (five DraftKings performances over 20 points). Until Ian Book at quarterback, the Saints won’t need another excuse to lean on their versatile carrier.
FLEX WR Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins ($ 11,600)
Waddle continued to turn into a very solid rookie season and emerged as the Dolphins’ WR1. He’s hit double-digit goals in five of his last eight, and his 114 goals represent 22.2% of the team’s total. Neither his target share nor his catch average (9.9 yards) are flashy numbers, but he catches 75.4% of his passes and has scored on the ground as well as in the air.

FLEX RB Duke Johnson, Dolphins ($ 7,200)
Myles Gaskin of the Dolphins ($ 7,400) is a viable hub for those who want to play against the tide. Johnson’s Week 15 workload (23 touches) was among the bulkiest a Dolphins back has received this season. We know Johnson poses a threat as a runner and receiver and has the ability to make big plays if he receives another big hit.
FLEX TE Mike Gesicki, Dolphins ($ 6,400)
Gesicki’s target of 19.1% is pretty high when it comes to tight workloads, and it’s the second biggest on the team. He’s had 19 targets in his last two games and six double-digit DK performances in total. The Saints have been stingy against tight ends, but Gesicki is such a big chunk of Miami’s offense. We will trust him on Monday night.
FLEX DEF Dolphins ($ 4,400)
We bet on the Dolphins here as much as against the Saints. Miami has scored over 17 DK points in three of six. Meanwhile, the Saints will launch rookie Ian Book. Even with the advantage of playing at home, Book will have a particularly difficult challenge ahead of him.
FLEX TE Nick Vannett, Saints ($ 1,000)
Vannett is coming out of a chicken egg in last week’s 9-0 win over the Buccaneers, but he caught six of 10 targets in the previous two games. Vannett is by no means a target hog, but he could be one of the only tight ends available to the Saints. We’re going to take his chances by making him one of Book’s top reads throughout Monday’s contest.
