The Duchess of Sussex made a remarkable and surprise appearance this Thursday evening in Hollywood. The former series actress reconnected with the world of showbiz and glitter by walking the red carpet at Variety magazine’s Power of Women evening. Meghan Markle took the opportunity to discuss future productions from her company Archewell.

Meghan Markle’s star return to the world of showbiz, for one evening
The famous American magazine specializing in the entertainment industry, Variety, organized this Thursday, November 16, 2023, its big evening dedicated to women of influence. The Power of Women gala takes place every year to honor the women who have found themselves on the cover of the special edition of the magazine dedicated to women of influence. Meghan Markle was one of those women last year.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, still made an appearance at the evening, which took place at chef Evan Funke’s Mother Wolf restaurant. According to People, Meghan Markle was “proud” to be able to be present again to support the women in the spotlight in 2023.

Meghan Markle gave news of ongoing projects at Archewell, her company founded with Prince Harry, which in addition to its charitable projects also has a production department. Via this Archewell department, Harry and Meghan have already produced podcasts for Spotify and two series for Netflix. The first series was a document entitled Harry & Meghanwhich caused a lot of talk and the second series is entitled Finding Invictus and highlighted Prince Harry’s work with veterans.

Meghan said her future projects will touch on themes that will appease audiences. They will approach “things that make people feel…I was going to say ‘good,’ but it’s more than that.” These are things that make people feel something” she told the journalist of Variety’s Angelique Jackson during a red carpet interview. Meghan wants to offer content in which “you feel a sense of community. But we have so many exciting things planned. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m really, really proud of what we’re creating. My husband loves it too. It’s really fun.»
The event highlighted artists and actors who empower women, including Billie Eilish, Fantasia Barrino, Lily Gladstone and Carey Mulligan. Margot Robbie and the co-founders of her production company LuckyChap, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, also received the title of Producer of the Year. Vanity Fair also highlights the fact that during the evening, Meghan Markle mentioned the series Suitsa series that launched her acting career. “It was great to work with a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time.
