Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed why he is without Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk for the Brentford clash.
The Blues host the Bees, live on talkSPORT, but have named a starting XI which does not include two of their biggest stars.
Neither Fernandez nor Mudryk even made the matchday squad, with fans worried about even more injuries for the Blues.
However, their minds will be put at ease as Pochettino insisted none of their absences were a major concern.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website ahead of the match, he said: “We were hoping they would be willing to be in the squad, but unfortunately they’re not quite ready.
“Neither issue is a major problem, but we didn’t want to take any chances.”
