Massimiliano Allegri loses it completely on the touchline as former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria misses a chance for Juventus in Coppa Italia win over Lazio

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri pulled off some of the craziest staging of his side’s Coppa Italia quarter-final victory.

The Old Lady beat Lazio 1-0, but Allegri wasn’t the happiest with his team as footage from the final minutes of the tie.

Allegri yelled at his players throughout the game

As Juve looked to close out their victory, Allegri grew increasingly impatient with striker Angel Di Maria.

And he was sent overboard after the former Manchester United winger fired a shot wide in the closing stages of the game.

As Di Maria’s chance passed the far post, footage posted to social media shows the Juve boss turning back to his bench, waving his arms.

The Italian then wrinkles his face and we hear him cry out loud.

His high-pitched scream continues as he continues to stomp in his technical area and wave his arms in frustration.

Then – still screaming – Allegri heads for the Allianz Stadium tunnel and sulks, showing that he has well and truly seen enough of his team’s performance.

After the match, the former AC Milan boss explained that he had lost his mind following Di Maria’s failure.

“In those moments you have to understand the game and the ball has to be handled differently,” he told the media.

To be fair to Allegri, it’s been a bad time to be the boss of the Turin team at the moment.

His side are now in 13th place in Serie A after the points deduction imposed on them in January after being punished for financial irregularities.

Juve had been third in the league, but now sit 15 points off the European and Champions League places.

The club’s entire board also resigned last November amid the investigation.
