Mary Mara, longtime TV actress, dies apparently drowned at 61
Marie Mara, who appeared on TV shows such as “Ray Donovan”, “Dexter” and “ER” in an acting career that spanned more than 30 years, died in what New York authorities said was a drowning accident.
New York State Police said on Monday that a woman identified as Mara, 61, was found shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday in the St. Lawrence River near Cape Vincent in northern Utah. New York State, near the Canadian border.

Police said an official cause of death was still pending, but there were no signs of foul play and it appeared Mara had drowned while swimming.
In a statement, her manager, Craig Dorfman, described her as “electric, funny and a real person” who was beloved, as well as a terrific actress.
His first acting credit dates back to the 1989 film “The Preppie Murder.” The New York native has worked steadily since, in a combination of repeating characters on some shows and guest appearances on others.
She has acted in films including “”Mr. Saturday Night” with Billy Crystal and “Prom Night”. His last credit was in 2020, in a film called “Break Even”.
