Marine Le Pen announces that the RN will vote for the motion to reject the left – RT in French

The president of the RN group in the Assembly Marine Le Pen assured that her party would act “without sectarianism” against the government and its pension reform, in particular by voting the motion of rejection carried by the NUPES.

The boss of the RN announced her intentions in the fight against the very controversial government pension reform, at a press conference on February 6. As in the past, she said her party would support left-wing proposals going against the text.

“First of all, we will vote a motion to reject. If the one we had submitted has not been drawn by lot, it is with conviction, driven by the massive opposition of the French to this text and of course without sectarianism that we will vote for that of the NUPES”, he said. She explain.

For the president of the RN, the government’s project, which displays firmness, is unfair and “anti-social”, hence the need to “reject this text”.

“If this motion [de rejet] was not adopted, we will then discuss a referendum motion, this one. The fate was favorable to us and it is therefore the vice-president of the Assembly Sébastien Chenu [RN] who will defend this call to organize a referendum”, she added.

The RN finds itself converging with the NUPES in the fight against the pension reform, but the idea of ​​​​associating the votes of the two antagonistic tendencies creates controversy on the left, where some categorically refuse this association. Since the controversy launched against the deputy RN Grégoire de Fournas, accused of racist remarks against an LFI deputy, the hostility between the populist formation and the left has increased tenfold.

“We will not vote for this referendum motion [proposée par le RN et tirée au sort]“, declared in particular the deputy EELV Sandrine Rousseau on Europe 1 on February 1.

“Not that basically we don’t want this referendum, we want it, but on the other hand we can’t and I say it with a little solemnity, we have decided and we will do it throughout the term of office, we can’t not collaborate with a fascistic movement,” she said.
