Manchester United have no interest in selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer.
The Portuguese superstar only returned to Old Trafford last year in a £12.85m transfer from Juventus, and despite United’s struggles he has continued to score.
The Red Devils have had a disappointing campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, recording their worst Premier League points tally.
Finishing sixth in the league, Ronaldo was a rare bright spark for United, finishing as their top scorer with 24 goals in 38 games.
And that seems to have been enough to interest new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, who discussed the possibility of signing the player with his agent Jorge Mendes.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the Blues’ new owner held a meeting with Mendes in Portugal last week with a potential transfer for Ronaldo discussed.
However, the BBC report that United insist he is not for sale and expect him to stay at Old Trafford next season.

New United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted he plans to use Ronaldo in the coming season but the 37-year-old is seen as unsuited to his high-pressure brand of football and at high intensity.
Ronaldo has been linked with German giants Bayern Munich in recent days, but a move to Stamford Bridge might be more plausible with just 12 months remaining on his current deal.
