Main concerns of Msme in India; Fundamental Vc’S $130 Mn Maiden Fund

The United Nations commemorates June 27 every year as World MSME Day! With the impact that COVID-19 has had on business models, particularly the MSME segment across the globe, the theme for 2022 is the need for resilient and thriving MSMEs to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and create a greener and fairer economy. To discuss, Startup Street spoke with Amit Bansal, CEO of Solv, a B2B digital marketplace for MSMEs that raised $40 million in its Series A funding and Anubhav Jain, co-founder and CEO of Rupifi, an integrated finance company that operates in the B2B payment space and launched Munafa, a community platform to pursue its vision of helping MSMEs grow.

Fundamental VC, a Bengaluru-based start-up venture capital firm, is launching its first fund with a target corpus of $130 million. The fund received SEBI approval in March this year and has already begun to deploy capital with plans to direct investments into the pre-seed and seed cycles. Startup Street sat down with Fundamental VC co-founder Saswat Sundar to discuss the top concerns of MSMEs in India.
