Lottery player wins $10m after being tricked into pressing wrong ticket button

LaQuedra Edwards won $10million in the California lottery after a ‘rude person’ ran into her, forcing her to press the wrong button on the vending machine for a Scratchers ticket she didn’t intend to buy.

But this post turned out to be so right.

Edwards was driving down the freeway later when she realized the $30 ticket had won the top prize, she said in a statement on Wednesday.

“I almost crashed my car,” she joked. “I stopped, watched it over and over, scanned it with my app, and kept thinking it couldn’t be true.”

Edwards, who plans to buy a house and start a non-profit business, said she was “still in shock”.

“All I remember saying once I found out how much I had just earned was, ‘I’m rich! »

Edward bought his ticket at a Vons supermarket in Tarzana, which received $50,000 for selling the big winner.

The person who bumped into Edwards and ‘didn’t say anything’ as he walked through the supermarket door might still be speechless if he found out about his twist of fate.

Strange things happen in the lottery. A woman recently discovered that she had won $3 million by looking for another message in her spam folder and finding a lottery notification.
