Ukraine claims success against the Russians on the Dnieper, after months of counter-offensive. While admitting that the fighting there is “violent” and still ongoing, kyiv claims to have conquered positions on the occupied bank of the river.
This is the first success claimed by Ukraine since the recapture of the village of Robotyné in August, in the southern region of Zaporizhia.

After months of a disappointing counter-offensive, Ukraine claimed Friday the conquest of positions occupied by the Russians on the bank of the Dnieper, in the Kherson region, while admitting to continuing to face “violent fighting”. Ukrainian forces “carried out a series of successful actions” indicated on Facebook the command of the marine infantry, which reports “heavy losses” inflicted on the enemy.
