Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy among Man United targets with ex-Arsenal captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and ex-Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata

Manchester United are in desperate need of a striker before the transfer window closes – with several names in sight.
The Red Devils had a terrible start to their Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford, losing 2-1 at home to Brighton on the opening weekend and followed by a shocking 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brentford on Saturday.

Rashford is another who has been linked with a move
New boss Ten Hag is keen to revive his stutter attack, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s future still up in the air.
The 37-year-old has already made it clear he wants to leave the Red Devils for Champions League football, with suggestions the club could even terminate his current contract.
Marcus Rashford has also been linked with a move away from the club as he enters the final 12 months of his contract, with Paris Saint-Germain keen.
According to The Athletic, the club are considering a shock move for 35-year-old Jamie Vardy.
Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he wants to keep hold of his experienced striker, who is in the final 12 months of his contract – with talks ongoing over a new deal.
Vardy has scored 133 Premier League goals throughout his career, including 15 last season despite his injury campaign.

Vardy is one of the names considered for a shock move to Old Trafford
If United were to stumble in their attempts to lure him to Old Trafford, the club could look to other options.
According to The Sun, United are set to face Chelsea for former Arsenal and current Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang doesn’t appear to be in a rush to leave, with Barca likely to demand a hefty fee for the 33-year-old, with the Spanish giants desperate to recoup funds.
Another alternative has emerged as former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, who scored 16 Premier League goals in 47 games during his time in England.

Morata could leave Atletico Madrid and will be made available
Atletico Madrid are keen to take his £200,000-a-week salary off their wage bill, and United have been told the player is available to sign for around £29.6m (€35m) this summer, reports The Athletic.
While a striker is high on the club’s shopping list in the final weeks of the window, midfield signings are also in demand.
Frenkie de Jong has of course been a target for most of the summer, while Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot is in talks for a move to Old Trafford.
