Laura Woods reunites with Ally McCoist in a healthy moment before being schooled by Rio Ferdinand
Laura Woods couldn’t contain her joy at meeting up with her old talkSPORT pal Ally McCoist.
The duo teamed up on talkSPORT’s Breakfast show for three iconic years before Woods left for her role as TNT Sports’ new presenter.

Luckily for us, McCoist retained his highly regarded spot alongside Alan Brazil, and Woods showed just how beloved he is.
McCoist also joined TNT this season, and the pair were reunited on the pitch at the Etihad Stadium before Manchester City began their Champions League title defense against Red Star Belgrade.
Speaking over footage of the two men hugging warmly, Woods said: “We didn’t forget Rio Ferdinand either, we just replaced him and we replaced someone else.
“Not quite par, but I would say improvement in every area imaginable, Mr. Ally McCoist is there.
“It was a lovely welcome, wasn’t it?” It’s been too long since we’ve been apart.
McCoist replied: “It was true, Ferdinand never received a welcome like that, did he? I’ll tell you, Laura.
Manchester United legend Ferdinand later got his revenge, however, when he tackled Woods on his first show.
“Don’t even try to access a link,” Ferdinand said while waiting for a replay.
