Khloé Kardashian revealed on Instagram on Friday that she and her 3-year-old daughter, True Thompson, had tested positive for the coronavirus. The reality TV star added that she was vaccinated, “so everything will be fine.”

“Hi guys, I wanted to let you know True and I tested positive for Covid,” the 37-year-old said in a post on her Instagram story.

“I had to cancel several engagements and I’m sorry I couldn’t do it,” she said. “Fortunately, I have been vaccinated so everything will be fine. We will be here in quarantine and following the guidelines in force. Everyone be careful! ”

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star also tested positive for COVID-19 last year, which viewers experienced through her self-recorded footage on the reality show.

“I just found out I have a corona,” Kardashian said in a clip released last year. “I was in my room. It’s going to be fine, but it was really bad for a few days.

“I have migraines, but it was the craziest headache,” she explained. “I wouldn’t say it was a migraine. Cough, my chest was burning when I coughed.

“Let me tell you this shit is real,” she added.

Despite Kardashian’s breakthrough infection, coronavirus vaccines are still, of course, “extremely effective,” said Dr. Robert G. Lahita, director of the Institute for Autoimmune and Rheumatic Disease at St. Joseph’s Health in the New Jersey, by email Friday at HuffPost. “We are seeing breakthrough infections with other vaccines – this is normal.”

“We know that revolutionary infections can occur, which means it is important to remain cautious and cautious after being vaccinated. [and] to continue to wear masks if necessary, ”he said.

“With a breakthrough infection, you can expect much less severe symptoms,” he added, saying fever, headache, nausea and maybe diarrhea are common for the second episodes, but not shortness of breath.

“Remember, Covid is a coronavirus – linked to the common cold,” Lahita wrote. “It’s a family of viruses that make a daily effort to try to escape immune functions. With flu season approaching, people may wonder if they have the flu or Covid – I recommend getting tested for Covid just to be sure if you experience these symptoms. ”

The Kardashians have made controversial health decisions during the coronavirus pandemic. Kim Kardashian West was criticized for posting her 40th birthday on a private island in October 2020. She defended herself by saying the guests were asked to undergo several health examinations and quarantine before the party.

Younger sister Kendall Jenner repeated the same mistake soon after. The model threw a jam-packed, maskless birthday party in Los Angeles in November, while new coronavirus cases in the United States soared to nearly 100,000 a day. Celebrities like The Weekend, Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith were in attendance, alongside his sisters Kylie Jenner, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian.

Kris Jenner then defended her daughters’ actions while insisting that everyone had been tested before walking through the door.

“We are dealing with a lot of people with different opinions, and all we can do is live our life the best possible way, be responsible and do the right thing. And we do it exactly, ”she said on SiriusXM’s“ Radio Andy ”with Andy Cohen.
