Navas impressed in his first appearance for Forest
The three-time Champions League winner is a statement signing for the club and he was quick to prove his worth.
Navas’ efforts in goal against Leeds led to an impressive record for the highly experienced 36-year-old.
He has now kept clean sheets on his debut in four different competitions across Europe.
On his La Liga debut in 2012 at Levante, he didn’t concede a goal in a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.
Two and a half years later, Navas capped his first Champions League appearance with a clean sheet for Real Madrid against FC Basel.
At Paris Saint-Germain, the Costa Rican prevented Strasbourg from scoring on his Ligue 1 debut.

The experienced goalkeeper guided Forest to victory
His new boss Cooper was full of praise after the game, which saw him make a series of impressive saves to deny Leeds.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the forest manager said: “He is very decorated, double experience, we know that.
“In the few days he was there, we saw a hard-working, humble guy who, no matter what I just said about what he did in the game, he still wanted to do well today. today and show his worth because that’s what a guy at this level does, and he did it.
“Brilliant in the first half, game equally well managed in the second half and at the end, it was individual moments in terms of Keylor’s save, Brennan’s finishing that won us the game.”
Forest’s win saw them move up to 13th in the Premier League table.
This is an impressive ranking for the club, given their poor start to the season.
