Kerry says administration’s climate policies will outlast Biden

The president’s special climate envoy, John Kerry, believes the Biden administration’s climate policies will outlast the president and outlast a Republican administration.

Biden’s special envoy told CNN he believes climate policies will outlive Biden and cannot be reversed if a Republican is elected president in 2024. Kerry argued that the economy would be one of the main drivers for sustaining Democrat partisanship. climate and energy law passed last year.

“I don’t think anyone elected president — Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative — can change what’s happening today,” he told CNN in an interview in his office at the State Department.

“The power of the market is bigger than the presidency on (climate change) now,” Kerry added. “So much money has been invested in retooling and reorienting business strategies and investments.”

It also comes after Kerry in the past argued that the United States should work with China and Russia on climate change.

“We have to work with China, we have to work with India… We even have to find a way, at the end of the day, if we can solve the war in Ukraine, to work with Russia, because Russia is a huge emitter,” Kerry told March during an interview about working with the communist country to tackle climate change. He noted that failing to onboard countries with climate change “will make it much more difficult, if not impossible, for the rest of the world to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.”

As Breitbart News previously explained, Kerry holds a cabinet-level position in the Biden administration — which did not require Senate confirmation — and has authority over energy and climate policy within the executive branch. . The climate envoy sits on the National Security Council and President Joe Biden’s cabinet and has an office at the State Department with an estimated annual budget of $13.9 million and 45 people.

In fact, Kerry’s department has caused a lot of concern among House and Senate Republicans.

Last month, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) — who has requested information about Kerry’s role three times — sent a final letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken demanding records of all documents and information related to Kerry’s role in the administration.
