Former far-left MSNBC host Keith Olbermann lost it to The Washington Post on Thursday, slamming the liberal newspaper for giving former President Donald Trump “clear space” by interviewing him for a exclusive item.
“The [Washington Post] gave a free space to Crazy Trump this morning. Crazy Trump’s millionth interview is neither unusual, nor newsworthy, nor journalistic. [Josh Dawsey] wrote it and most post types are desperately RTing. Shame on them and shame on you if you reward them for reading it,” Olbermann tweeted.

The Post article, by journalist Josh Dawsey, struck a critical tone at Trump and his actions on the day of the Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill.
Despite The Post’s negative coverage of Trump, Olbermann’s outburst on social media notably cast a shadow over Dawsey, whose frequent criticism of the former president would suggest a different reaction from Olbermann given that this The latter once hosted a web series with a name inspired by the former president’s election.
The web series, titled “The Resistance with Keith Olbermann,” began in 2016 as “The Closer with Keith Olberman,” but changed after Trump was elected in November.

Why Olbermann took issue with a news outlet interviewing a former US president was unclear, as frequently happens. Every living former US president has sat down for an exclusive interview with various media outlets at least once in the past year, including former president Jimmy Carter, who left office in 1981.
Olbermann’s bizarre response to the interview drew criticism from former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who called her claim “absurd” and said she was telling Americans everything they needed to know about the current state of journalism.
“The idea that the words of a former president, who still enjoys resounding support within the Republican Party, are not ‘newsworthy’ should tell you all you need to know about the state of the journalism today. Olbermann’s absurd claim only adds more distrust to the already waning level of trust in liberal media among Americans,” she told Fox News Digital.

In October 2020, he launched a lengthy rant on his YouTube channel calling for Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, along with a number of Trump associates, to be “prosecuted” and “removed” from the court. society.
In the same rant, he called Trump a “terrorist” and called for him to be “destroyed” and “devoured at the ballot box.”
