Julia Louis-Dreyfus and JJ Watt liking each other’s work is what Twitter needed

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and NFL defensive end JJ Watt, two giants in their fields, shared great respect for each other on Twitter this week.

But of course, it was “Seinfeld” star Louis-Dreyfus who made it funny.

Watt, three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, tweeted, “Julia Louis-Dreyfus won 6 straight Emmys for Veep and I still think her performance might be underrated.”

To which Louis-Dreyfus replied: “Yeah, but I don’t have 102 bags. Again.”

Consider their mutual admiration society now open!

Louis-Dreyfus has already encouraged athletes. His son Charlie Hall played on the Northwestern University basketball team as a reserve. When he scored his first career point in 2017, he tweeted a funny split-screen of Wilt Chamberlain holding a 100-point sign for his NBA game-high and Charlie holding a piece of paper with a 1 on it.

Watt tore his labrum, biceps and rotator cuff when he dislocated his shoulder during the Arizona Cardinals’ Oct. 24 game against his former team, the Houston Texans, last season. He managed to come back for a playoff loss to eventual champion Rams.

“It was a massive failure,” Watt said of the season. “I mean, from what we were able to do and what we showed we could do, to what we showed today. There is no other way to describe it than as a failure.

A bit like Elaine’s dance from Louis-Dreyfus, isn’t it?
