Republican Missouri Senator Josh Hawley told “The Ingraham Angle” Wednesday night that the unborn children “[have] rights throughout pregnancy “and that it is time to” cancel “Roe v. Wade.

The Supreme Court heard arguments on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization early Wednesday. Mississippi law prohibits abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy and according to the court ruling, the fate of Roe v. Wade may be in play.

Hawley condemned the court saying it had “seriously damaged its legitimacy” in 1973, when it first passed the Roe v. Act. Wade. He continued: “If the court really cared about its legitimacy, then it will follow the Constitution and allow the people to resume exercising democracy.”

The Missouri senator then defended the interests of the unborn child.

“What about the best interests of unborn women in the womb?” ” He asked.

“Every judge of the Supreme Court of the United States has recognized in recent years that there is interest in an unborn life,” said Hawley. “The question is, when does this interest become compelling? And the answer is that it is compelling throughout pregnancy because the unborn child has rights throughout pregnancy.

Hawley called on the court to “withdraw from the case of imposing their moral opinions on the rest of the country” because it is “not the place of the court”.

“It is time to allow the American people to reclaim America’s basic promise that in this country everyone has inalienable rights and that includes unborn children. They have inalienable rights.
