Jennifer Coolidge Says Playing Stifler’s Mom in ‘American Pie’ Helped Her Sex Life
In the film, Coolidge’s character has an affair with his son Steve Stifler’s (Seann William Scott) schoolmate, Paul Finch, played by Eddie Kaye Thomas.
Coolidge also opened up about her role as Tanya McQuoid on the HBO series “White Lotus,” and how series creator Mike White thought she could play the role.
“I did one really good thing in my life,” she said. “I picked some great friends. If Mike had never made it, and we had just done White Lotus as a play in a little theater where everyone paid 10 dollars to see it, it would still be one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me. . Because it was a killer job that no one else thought I could do.”
She almost turned down the role because she thought she wasn’t fit enough.
“I wanted to look a certain way when you’re on film…I wasn’t ready for this cool opportunity. It shows, you should always be in the best shape because you just don’t know,” said she declared. , adding that a friend convinced her to take the role.
“It was a miracle that happened. What a stroke of luck, you know?” she says. “I can not believe it.”
“White Lotus” returns for a second season in the fall.
