JD Vance mocks the media asking if he disapproves of Trump

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) responded to reporters asking if he would rescind his endorsement of former President Donald Trump over an impending indictment, saying, “Hell no,” adding that those who seek to arrest Trump “on a baseless misdemeanor charge”, attempt to make America a Third World country.
“Alvin Bragg is bought by George Soros. He allows violent criminals to roam the streets of New York, but will prosecute the likely Republican nominee (and former president) on a baseless misdemeanor charge,” Vance tweeted on Saturday. “These people are trying to turn America into a third world country.”
Several journalists have asked me if an indictment would lead me to cancel my support for Donald Trump. The answer is: hell no. A politically motivated lawsuit strengthens the case for Trump. We simply don’t have a real country if justice depends on politics.

“Several reporters have asked me if an indictment would cause me to rescind my support for Donald Trump. The answer is: hell no,” the senator continued in a follow-up tweet.
“A politically motivated lawsuit strengthens the case for Trump,” Vance added. “We just don’t have a real country if justice depends on politics.”
President Trump said in a truth article on Saturday that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday “based on an old fairy tale that has been completely debunked”:
Now, illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which helped set new violent crime records and whose head is funded by George Soros, indicate that no crime can be proven, and based on an ancient and fully debunked fairy tale (by many other prosecutors!), the Republican candidate by far the leading candidate and former President of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday from the next week. Demonstrate, take back our nation!
A Trump spokesperson issued the following statement to Breitbart News:
There has been no notification, other than illegal leaks from the Justice Department and the district attorney’s office, to NBC and other bogus news outlets, that the George Soros-funded radical left-wing Democratic prosecutor at Manhattan has decided to take its witch hunt to the next level. President Trump rightly points out his innocence and the weaponization of our system of injustice. He will be in Texas next weekend for a giant rally. Make America Great Again!
GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also reacted to the news, saying, “An indictment of Trump would be a national disaster.”
“It is unAmerican for the ruling party to use the power of the police to arrest political rivals,” Ramaswamy continued. “If a Republican prosecutor in 2004 had used a campaign finance tactic to arrest then-candidate John Kerry while Bush and Cheney were in power, liberals would have cried foul – and rightly so.”
“Principles go beyond partisanship. Let the American people decide who governs,” he added. “This will mark a dark moment in American history and undermine public confidence in our electoral system itself.”
Ramaswamy concluded by calling on the Manhattan District Attorney “to reconsider this action and set aside partisan politics in the service of preserving our constitutional republic.”
