Audiences at the “Seinfeld” studio have undoubtedly spent a lot of time getting excited over the iconic gags of the series.
Alexander, who played George Costanza, told the “Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum” podcast that the team placed screens between him and the audience as he learned of the last-minute addition to the episode.
Once it was ready, they pulled it off in one take – and it became an instant classic.
“There was a minute or more of laughter,” he said. “That’s a lot of laughs, where you can’t go on, you can’t do the next line, because the audience is laughing so hard?” It was huge.
