James Mattis marries – leaving behind his mistress, the Marine Corps | Top stories
Local News | World News
Always, always, always a Marine, never married. That was the life of legendary Marine Corps General James Mattis…until now.
The man known as the Warrior-Monk is no more after recently exchanging wedding vows with physicist Christina Lomasney. The couple first married in a riverside ceremony, followed by a ceremony in Las Vegas presided over by an Elvis impersonator.
The pair met at a bar, in true nautical style, according to Politico.
Mattis, whose call sign is “Chaos,” has garnered something of a cult following among the Marines.
Before he was Secretary of Defense under former President Donald Trump, plenty of salty dogs joked that he was married to Corps.
Alas, no more.
It’s unclear if Mattis wore blue suede shoes, or what their vows were, but it looks like Lomasney took his stabbing hand in marriage anyway.
