Luke Thomas may never forget his performance against Mohamed Salah and James Maddison was quick to tease him in the aftermath of Leicester’s win over Liverpool.
The 20-year-old left-back was part of a defense that became the third team in the league this season to prevent the Liverpool forward from scoring as the Foxes clinched a memorable 1-0 victory over the team. Jurgen Klopp.

Thomas and his teammates kept the Egyptian silent for most of the game
Against the most knowledgeable player in the league, Leicester City academy product Thomas had a superb night preventing Salah from adding to his 15 goals in 19 games this season.
“Stop checking what everyone else is saying about your performance against Salah, my brother,” Maddison shouted at her happy teammate in a video posted to Instagram.

Thomas and Maddison both played their part in the win over Liverpool
While it was a great night for Brendan Rodgers’ side, it could have turned out very differently if the Liverpool forward had found the net from the penalty spot and his teammates had converted some of the other glaring opportunities.
As well as celebrating the full-time result with Thomas, Maddison played his part in Salah’s missed penalty by appearing to enter his head with some of the words he said.
The 25-year-old stood next to Liverpool’s No.11 and attempts at mind games appeared to play a role as goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel guessed correctly and prevented Salah from scoring his 16th league goal of the season.
The rebound was also missed as Liverpool succumbed to their second loss of the season, leaving them six points behind leaders Man City, who could take that lead to nine with a win over Brentford.
