he final chapter in Jake Paul’s boxing career will face his first full-time professional boxing opponent, Tommy Fury, on December 18th.

The 24-year-old YouTuber-turned-fighter has so far taken four wins in four fights against two former MMA stars, a former basketball player and another web celebrity.

Friday’s announcement of a fight against Fury, 22, pits him against the brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who has his own career record of 7-0. It comes after the couple have engaged in a developing war of words in recent months.

The fight will take place on December 18 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida. The 20,000-person capacity site regularly hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL team with the NBA’s Toronto Raptors also recently occupying due to Covid restrictions.

Under the slogan “One will fall,” the fight is scheduled for eight rounds – much longer than Fury previously boxed with his last two bouts awarded on points after four rounds. Paul went eight against Tyron Woodley to claim a split decision victory in August.

Showtime will oversee production with the pay-per-view combat sub-map to be announced in due course.
