Jadon Sancho has been pictured arriving at Manchester United’s Carrington training base after a long spell away.

The striker hasn’t played for United since October due to concerns over his physical and mental health.

Despite missing out on a place in England’s World Cup squad, Sancho didn’t take part in the Red Devils’ winter camp in Spain.

The 22-year-old was sent to the Netherlands by United manager Erik ten Hag, training with Dutch amateur club OJC Rosmalen.

Now Sancho is back in Manchester and ready to begin an individual training programme, with photographers capturing his arrival at Carrington on Monday.

“He’s back in Manchester and will start individual training,” Ten Hag said when asked for an update on Sancho’s return.

“Of course the time is coming, but the time is not now. He is progressing and we will see when he is ready to return to the team.

Sancho has struggled to live up to expectations since his highly anticipated move from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021.

The £73million winger has netted three times so far this season after netting four times in the 2021/22 campaign.

Speaking in December, Ten Hag said: “We want to bring him back as soon as possible, but I can’t give a prediction on when that will happen.

“Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood. We have a level drop and sometimes you don’t know why or what is causing it.

“That’s what we’re doing now to try to get him back there. It is a combination of physical but also mental.
