Israel has ‘totally collapsed’, Hamas massacre ‘staggering’

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian bizarrely claimed Friday that Israel’s entire political structure had “totally collapsed” following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack.
Amir-Abdollahian made the comments during an ongoing visit to New York to meet with United Nations officials in an apparent bid to protect Hamas from an Israeli response aimed at protecting its population.
Iran enthusiastically welcomed the Hamas terror attack when it occurred, holding a street party to celebrate the death toll that topped 1,400 in an attack characterized by torture and massacre of entire families, including infants, the disabled and the elderly. Major General Hossein Salami, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), once again celebrated the mass murder as Israel’s “most unforgettable, stunning and unprecedented defeat”, as well as than America and Great Britain.

In the terrorist attack, which Hamas dubbed the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” Hamas terrorists invaded Israel by land and paraglider, attacking residential communities and going door-to-door in a frenzy. murderous. Israeli authorities confirmed the discovery of decapitated babies, children with knives left in their bodies and a significant number of bodies charred beyond recognition. While the official death toll stands at 1,400, authorities have warned that forensic analysis could prove a much higher death toll as many bodies were completely destroyed.
In addition to the massacres, Hamas took around 250 hostages, who are believed to still be in Gaza.

The terrorist attack was “completely legitimate under the applicable rules of international law,” Amir-Abdollahian said Thursday, according to Iranian state channel PressTV.
“The Zionist regime is committing genocide in Palestine. If the genocide in Gaza continues, the warmongers themselves will not be spared from this fire,” the foreign minister added, offering no evidence other than the alleged death toll due to Israeli military actions in Gaza, compiled by Hamas entities. Hamas regularly positions its weapons and terrorist outposts close to civilians to use as human shields and often lies about what is happening on the ground in Gaza.

For example, Hamas claimed that an Israeli military strike targeted al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza and killed 500 people. In reality, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group hit the hospital with a misfired rocket, and European intelligence sources estimate the death toll was closer to 50 dead.

Amir-Abdollahian’s support for the terrorist attack follows several similar statements by senior Iranian officials. The country’s “supreme leader”, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared on October 17 that Hamas victims – including newborns – were “not civilians”.
“Some officials from some countries, who spoke with our officials, protested to defend the Zionist occupiers and question why the Palestinians killed civilians,” Khamenei said. “First, this statement is contrary to the truth. Those who live in the (Israeli) settlements are not civilians. They are all armed.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Wednesday declared his support for Israel in the face of Hamas’ brutality as “Western racism and colonialism” during a meeting with a representative of the Nigerien coup regime.
Elsewhere during his media tour in New York, Amir-Abdollahian recommended that the United States “abandon” Israel because the country would no longer exist.
“We encourage the United States to abandon its total and absolute support for the Israeli regime. According to the information we have in the region, Israel’s security and political systems have completely collapsed,” the top diplomat told NPR, according to PressTV. “Right now, the only thing working in Israel is its war machine which is also led, controlled and managed by the United States. »

Amir-Abdollahian also took the opportunity to confirm Iran’s close relationship with Hamas, describing it as a “resistance movement legally fighting the occupation” rather than a bloodthirsty terrorist gang.
“We have our political support for the liberation movement so that the occupied territories are liberated. Our support is therefore only political,” he said. “They have enough missiles, rockets and drones and can easily get them from anywhere. »
A US State Department report estimated in 2020 that Iran provides Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad with financial support of $100 million per year. A Hamas spokesman, Gilad Hamad, told the BBC on the day of the attack that Iran had offered it “direct support”.
Salami, the leader of the IRGC terrorist organization, added to Iran’s vocal support for Hamas by once again celebrating the October 7 massacres in remarks Thursday.
“Their defeat in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was one of the most unforgettable, stunning and unprecedented defeats that collapsed the United States, the United Kingdom and Israel,” Salami said, quoted by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, during a public appearance in Mashhad.
“The United States bears responsibility for the current developments in Palestine, as it has been trying for years to present the occupying regime as an angel of democracy and to create a (positive) image of it,” he continued. “In the Muslim world, the Zionists are like an unwanted foreign object implanted in this region and which triggers new hemorrhages every time. »
