India Records Biggest Increase in Single-Day Cases, Center Releases New Advisory; Key updates

India saw the largest single-day increase in Omicron infections with 156 new cases, bringing the total number of such cases to 578, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.

The 578 cases were detected in 19 states and UT, with Delhi recording the maximum number of 142 cases followed from Maharashtra at 141, Kerala 57, Gujarat 49, Rajasthan 43 and Telangana 41.
