Ice Cube didn’t name the movie, but multiple outlets reported last year that the rapper-actor turned down a role in Sony’s comedy. Oh shit no, with Jack Black, after refusing a request from the producers to get vaccinated. News organizations cited unnamed sources at the time.
The actor-rapper isn’t the only Hollywood personality to publicly denounce vaccination mandates.
SAG-AFTRA president and actress Fran Drescher recently condemned mandates as an attack on personal freedom, saying overzealous mandates could turn into a form of “fascism.”
“Making this vaccine the criterion for determining who is allowed to work, travel, dine, go to the theater, etc., is a violation of the Persons with Disabilities Act, the Freedom of Religion Act and the sovereignty of the body,” she said in a video posted to TikTok.
Fran Drescher understands what President Biden does not understand. It is appalling that the horrific Covid vaccine discrimination continues under the Democrats. America is now one of the only countries in the world to require proof of a Covid vaccine for entry. VOTE THEM.pic.twitter.com/TYto6xr0Qn

SAG-AFTRA does not require members to receive the COVID vaccine as a condition of working. However, some studios are still requiring the vaccine on a production-by-production basis. The Walt Disney Co. recently dropped its cast mandate for all of its domestic movies and TV shows.
