President Joe Biden said on CBS’s “60 Minutes” on Sunday that he has not decided whether he will run for president in 2024.
Anchor Scott Pelley said: “Sir, are you determined to race again, or are there certain conditions that have to be right?”
Biden said, “Listen, if I told you, I’m running again, all of a sudden a whole series of things come into play that I have demands, I have to change and move and do.
Pelley said, “In terms of election laws?”
Biden said, “In terms of election laws. And it’s far too early to make that kind of decision. I am a big acceptor of fate. And so what I do is I do my job. I will do this job. And in the time frame that makes sense after this next election cycle here, as we approach next year, make a judgment call on what to do.
Pelley said: “You say it’s way too early to make that decision. I guess the decision wasn’t made in your head.
Biden said, “Listen, my intention, as I said, to begin with is to run again. But that’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.”
