I don’t believe the Pentagon was involved in the Kabul attack, they misled us

On CNN’s “The Lead” Friday, Alicia Lopez, whose son, Corporal Hunter Lopez, was killed in the 2021 Kabul airport attack, reacted to a message from the Pentagon. statement on the ability to prevent the Kabul attack stating that “while their statement released today bears any resemblance to the DOD report we received back home, it lacks accurate information” and she does not believe them.
After reading parts of the statement, host Jake Tapper asked, “I wonder what you guys think, and did you hear anything new in what the Pentagon sent us today?
Lopez replied, “This is the first time I’ve heard that the Pentagon has responded, but –. »
Tapper chimed in to note that they had just received the statement a few minutes prior and “never directly addressed those two issues.”
Lopez replied, “Well, if their statement they released today sounds like the DOD report we got back home, it lacks specific information. They failed to speak with the people who were there, important people like Sgt. Tyler Vargas, who had the suicide bomber in his sights, and they didn’t talk to him. Several Marines were injured and were not spoken to. So their statements (are)… incomplete and inaccurate, and it’s been two years, so I don’t really believe them.
She added: “We asked for real accountability and validation of the stories that the Marines who were injured and who were there told us, we repeatedly asked for my son’s property to be returned to us, which, again, was ignored. . … Just specific statements about where my child was at the time of the attack, where he breathed his last, all that, we have no information about that.
