“Humiliation was inflicted by Chinese Communists” on Biden

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said on this week’s “Fox News Sunday” show that President Joe Biden allowing the Chinese balloon to fly over the United States was a “humiliation”.

Presenter Shannon Bream said: “The president’s supporters say this actually shows he is doing a good job with China. An opinion piece in The Washington Post speaks of the spy balloon as China’s clumsy attempt. It shows an immense capacity for blundering, a tendency that President Biden has exploited, a series of humiliations on the main rival. They point to the embargo, expanding access out of China and the Philippines. They say he does a good job.

Cotton said, “Unfortunately, I think the humiliation was inflicted by the Chinese communists on the president.”

He continued, “We should have shot him down instead of letting him float across America on his merry way. The idea that we let this cross America, a spy balloon, complete its spy mission before shooting it down, I’m afraid, is embarrassing for the United States, not for the Chinese communists who are constantly pushing back limits, constantly probing to see how far they can get away with slandered actions.

Cotton added: “I think they think they probably got away with it here.”
