Heritage Action Super PAC Files Another $1.5 Million on Arizona Senate Race

Sentinel Action Fund, the super PAC affiliated with Heritage Action, the political arm of the prominent conservative think tank Heritage Foundation, lost another $1.5 million on the U.S. Senate race in Arizona, the Washington Examiner reported for the first time.
The additional $1.5 million from the super PAC brings the total investment in the race to $7.5 million to help Republican Blake Masters in his hopes of unseating Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly (AZ). Sentinel Action Fund has already spent $5 million on ads against Kelly.
The latest ad criticizes Kelly for his stance on immigration and his support for President Joe Biden’s radical agenda.
The ad highlights the recent Senate debate between the two candidates, where Kelly claimed to have “been strong on border security” and clashed with his own party when “when they got it wrong on this question”.
However, the ad says, “that’s a lie” because he “voted against more border patrols [and] against drug detection equipment. He also noted that Kelly votes with the president 94% of the time.
Sentinel Action Fund
Sentinel Action Fund has been one of the active conservative-leaning groups backing Masters in the race.
The Examiner noted that while the other groups are getting involved, other groups have shown hesitation about the Republican’s ability to beat Kelly, as Masters is about four points behind the Democrat.
The RealClearPolicies the average shows Masters behind Kelly, 49% to 44.9%. The most recent CBS News poll showed 51% voting for Kelly’s re-election, while 48% said they would vote for Masters.
