Russian says he dressed as a doctor to take care of his grandmother in the COVID ward
Worried that hospital staff are neglecting his ailing grandmother in a COVID-19 ward in Siberia, a Russian man said he had infiltrated disguised as a doctor to take care of her himself. Sergei, who declined to give his last name, told Rain TV in an interview broadcast Thursday that he had put on protective clothing and went to Tomsk city hospital last week where he had looked after her grandmother for three days, giving her food and pills and changing her dressings and incontinence pads. Local authorities in Tomsk, about 3,000 km (1,850 miles) east of Moscow, said they were investigating his complaints.
