Henry Slade left out of England autumn squad as Sinckler returns | England rugby union team

Henry Slade has been left out of England’s Autumn Nations Series squad following a surprise omission from Eddie Jones. Slade missed the summer tour of Australia due to shoulder surgery but has been in action for Exeter since the start of the season.

Will Joseph, Guy Porter, Manu Tuilagi and Owen Farrell are the recognized centers named in the 36-man squad which will face Argentina, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa at Twickenham next month.

Prop Kyle Sinckler is also back after missing the 2-1 win over the Wallabies with a back problem. Harlequins’ uncapped winger Cadan Murley is part of a senior England squad for the first time.

England coach Jones said: “They are a very strong and dynamic team and a number of good players have been left out. We are satisfied with the depth and strength of the team.

“The Autumn Internationals will be like a mini-World Cup for us, starting with two tough games against Argentina and Japan, which mirror our pool matches at next year’s tournament.
