Khamzat Chimaev found it easy to make fans and friends during his time with the UFC.

The 27-year-old burst onto the scene in 2020 on “Fight Island” and picked up four flawless wins that made him a crowd favorite and an exciting welterweight prospect.

“Borz” also struck up a friendship with middleweight Darren Till during his short training stint with “The Gorilla.” Both men work with NFT Platform, Blockassest, which has been uploading videos of UFC fighters training and having fun together lately.

But it looks like Till isn’t the only UFC fighter to get along with Chimaev.

Strawweight contender and Ultimate Fighter Season 23 winner Tatiana Suarez recently revealed that she struck up a unique friendship with the Swedish-born welterweight.

“Whenever [Khamzat Chimaev] see me at [UFC Performance Institute] he just comes and kicks me, like shin to shin,” Suarez told reporter Helen Yee. “I’m like, ‘What are you doing? We don’t even have shin guards.

“A real great friendship,” Suarez added. “The other day he was trying to beat me in the sauna. I’m like, ‘Man, what’s going on?’ I’m like, ‘No, let’s not do that here.’

At UFC 273 on Saturday, Chimaev is ready to take a serious step up in opposition when he takes on former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns.

A win over “Durinho” in Jacksonville, Fla. brings him one step closer to what looks like an inevitable 170-pound title shot.

Suarez, meanwhile, is a perfect 8-0 record but hasn’t fought since beating Nina Nunes at UFC 238 in June 2019.

The 31-year-old has battled a serious neck injury but looks set to be fully fit and back in the octagon.

When she makes her highly anticipated return, Suarez is expected to move up to the flyweight division for the first time since her professional debut.
