Frank Warren and Daniel Dubois want to fight Dillian Whyte after ‘Bodysnatcher’ made ‘disparaging’ comments after Dynamite loss to Joe Joyce

Dillian Whyte is not far from his defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury and now another heavyweight is coming for his throat in the form of Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois.

After a stunning knockout win over Trevor Bryan last weekend, Dubois is now the WBA’s “regular” champion.

Dubois dropped Bryan hard in fourth to take the win

This puts Dubois in a formidable position, as he is now mandatory for the WBA super title and in line to fight the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

However, as Dubois and his promoter Frank Warren know well, boxing is not a fast-moving sport and what is supposed to happen does not always happen.

That being said, Dubois will be looking to keep busy while waiting for Usyk’s winner against Joshua 2 and he has his eyes on Whyte.

After Dubois lost to Joe Joyce in 2020, Whyte had less than encouraging words for the young heavyweight, as he said, “I have nothing to say, man. I have nothing to say. The man here is resigning.

“The man here is quitting in the middle of the fight. Shit. The man here is stopping in the middle of the fight. They said they wanted to fight me and they were going to knock me out.

“One thing with me, no give up, straight warrior. If I lose, I get eliminated. Straight warrior, straight warrior and these cowards wanna mention [me].”

Dubois has never been one to engage in verbal exchanges, but now he wants to make Whyte pay for his words in the ring and coming from working with ‘The Bodysnatcher’ on his fight with Fury, Warren is in a good position to let the fight happen.

“Listen, Dillian, result bar, had a great experience with us.” Warren told talkSPORT: “He’s made a lot of money and we’ve taken care of him.

“All the things that were put in his head were all negative things – none of that happened. He was well cared for.

“I know Daniel wants it because Dillian said some derogatory things about Daniel after his fight with Joe Joyce. We would love to do this fight, it’s a natural fight and the Brits would love to see that.
