Police said they responded to Walmart for a gunshot. Upon arrival, officials determined that Michael Walton had been negligent with his weapon when it fired a bullet, hitting him and three other people.
Further investigation showed that the weapon was loaded and unsheathed. Police said “the handling of the firearm was not done to a standard of reasonable care.”
“Mr. Walton’s actions put all other customers and employees of the business at risk and will be charged with reckless driving and incarcerated in the Clayton County Jail,” police said.
