The largest hospital center in the Gironde is suffocating. Attendance has increased by almost 50% since the start of the health crisis, but many emergency physicians left their posts. This regulation system could reduce the number of admissions by around 30 patients each day, and could be long term.
The situation is similar in Vaucluse, where emergencies will close at night, for lack of personnel. Residents are worried. According to the unions, 66 emergency services are now closed or threatened with closure. The association of emergency physicians in France is calling for an increase in remuneration.
