Florian Philippot launches his presidential campaign on a “rupture” program

Present since the summer at the head of many demonstrations against the health pass, Florian Philippot, the former number two of Marine Le Pen, launched his presidential campaign, Sunday, October 24, attacking the outgoing president, Emmanuel Macron.

“Since he is waging war on us and wants war, he will have war”, said Florian Philippot in a speech in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis) in front of his supporters, a little more than 1,000 people according to Agence France-Presse (AFP), 1,400 people according to the organizers.

“France is ruled by an oligarchy which wants its death”, he said again to the cries in the room of ” Freedom ! “ and “Macron in prison! “, promising that “Blockages are happening, including under the windows of the President of the Republic”.

And to continue: “This oligarchy, let’s be clear, mixes big finance, big lobbies, especially pharmaceuticals. It mixes the Gafams, it mixes the European Union and all the supranational structures. To this must be added, of course, like a rotten icing on the cake, Macron and his clique who have led the state astray, even more than their sinister predecessors. “

Florian Philippot had left the FN – since become RN – after the failure of the 2017 presidential election. He has since founded his own movement, Les Patriotes. Without being systematically tested in opinion polls, he obtains between 0.5% and 2% of the voting intentions in the polls in which he appears.

Break-up program

Mr. Philippot promised Sunday, if he was elected in 2022, to make the health pass “Illegal” and confinement “Unconstitutional”. In terms of health, he also wants to close the regional health agencies (ARS), suspend France’s participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) or even dissolve the council of the medical order.

He developed at length his project to exit the European Union (“Frexit”) and exit the euro, but also to exit from the European Convention on Human Rights and NATO in particular. He also proposes, among other things, to dissolve the Constitutional Council, and to establish a citizens’ initiative referendum.
