Fantasy Week 17 Best Exemption Pickups: Dare Ogunbowale & Rex Burkhead Profit From Injury In Breakout Games

| Latest News Headlines | World News

Usually there is not much interest in the Week 17’s best fantastic waiver feed pickups and free agent additions, but this year, with more backups than ever before, you might see heavy activity on waivers for guys like Dare Ogunbowale, Rex burkhead, Jordan howard, Isaiah McKenzie and more injury / COVID replacements. The usual jockey for match-based streamers will also be there.

Our full list of free agents are primarily streamers, and we aim to give you as many viable options as possible. The tight end and D / ST will likely be the most important streaming positions, but, again, with newbies potentially on the reserve / COVID roster any time of the week, you should have solid backups at QB. , WR and even RB. You can find the streaming options, sorted by position, at the end of this list.

If you’re still up for cash (or trying to avoid a last-place punishment), use your waiver request this week. Then use it again. There is no point in waiting for free agency if there is a player you want available on the wire. Catch as many guys as you can at the start of the week, then be ready to recruit new guys later in the week.

Also play defense against your opponent. Not only can you do this at the start of the week choosing which players your opponent might want, but you can also play the weekend slack game and drop the guys who won’t be ready in time to be used at the weekend. during week 17. Scroll players as needed. It’s obnoxious to be overkill on this, but a few legitimate additions / deletions at the start and end of the week are just a good strategy.

Unless otherwise specified, only players belonging to less than 50% of Yahoo leagues are considered.

Dare Ogunbowale, RB, Jaguars. With James Robinson (Achilles) out for the foreseeable future, Ogunbowale expects to continue operating as Jacksonville’s frontman. It’s not too inspiring with a clash against New England on the bridge in Week 17, but if Ogubowale dominates the RB touches like he did in Week 16 (19 for 72 total yards and a score), then it has a chance to work as a flex. After all, guaranteed hits will be of value in a week where you never know who will be declared inactive right before kick-off.

Rex Burkhead, RB, Texans. With David Johnson out due to an ATV injury, Burkhead took full advantage. He led the Texans with 22 carries, 149 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He also added some takes. Burkhead had been trending upward even with Johnson in good health, and he is expected to continue operating as a returning 1A in Houston backfield even if Johnson returns next week against San Francisco. It’s not a particularly interesting game, but Burkhead still has an edge, especially in the PPR leagues.

Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles. Even though Boston Scott won a TD short, it was Howard who was the Eagles’ main back after Miles Sanders left with a hand injury. Howard finished Week 16 with nine yards on 37 carries and added two catches for 19 yards before handing over to Scott in garbage time, and he is expected to continue to be featured next week against Washington if Sanders is out (and the Howard’s sting injury is not too serious). Even though Sanders is active, Howard will still play a valuable “change of pace” role and is still a candidate to poach a TD, giving him flexible value in standard leagues.

STANDARD RANKING FOR WEEK 17:
quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Isaiah McKenzie, WR, Bills. McKenzie took advantage of the fact that Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley were on the reserve / COVID roster, catching 11 of 12 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown. At least Davis will be out again in Week 17, so McKenzie is an interesting aviator for the boom or bust against the Falcons’ horrific pass defense. Considering McKenzie’s explosive ability, he could easily pay in any format.
