Oliver, who is 5ft 4in, was at the press conference on Thursday in sunny Bournemouth and had the chance to speak to Okolie, who at 6ft 5in has a height advantage of 13in.

“They delivered me a box to stand on because apparently we can’t take the same picture without me standing on a box,” Oliver laughed while talking to Jim White and Simon Jordan from the beach.

“It’s a first,” the former bantamweight champion said before Jordan tried to make it as awkward as possible.

“Did you tell Lawrence you think he’s going to lose while you’re standing next to him?” Jordan asked.

Oliver immediately looked down sheepishly and said, “Thanks for that, Simon,” much to the delight of his talkBOXING co-host.

“I’m getting on my box now and I don’t want Lawrence knocking me off it,” joked Oliver, before stepping on the box and finding himself closer to Okolie’s eye level.

talkSPORT viewers on YouTube found the moment particularly amusing.

“Spencer looks around amazed at what you can see from this height,” one wrote.

Another added: ‘If you water Spencer in the sun it grows.

A third joked: “Spencer is now ready to take on the cruiserweight division on his new stilts.”

While a fourth said: “Has this been rated? Where’s his helmet?”

It was a great interview and now the focus will turn to Friday’s weigh-in and fight night at Vitality.

Lawrence Okolie vs Chris Billam-Smith is live on talkSPORT on Saturday May 27
